Driver Scanner Canon Mp250 Windows 7

After installing Windows 7, I downloaded all the latet drivers from Canon. Printing and copying work fine but when I try to scan I get error code 5,155, 55.

I have had several conversations with canon support and have done all their suggested fixes to no avail. Epson Stylus 6600. I ahve reinstalled the MP250 on my laptop running Windows XP and it works perfectly.

I have suggested to Canon that they have a problem with the scanner driver but they assured me that they had fully tested all functions under Windows 7 and said I must have a computer problem. I find this hard to believe since the scanner works under XP. Can you offer any additional advice?
